Yes, I got a notice to that effect. My 'inbox' is m/t but stored p/m's are at 49 and I can not get rid of them. Why do they make it so difficult? Have tried 2-3 times.

Really nice collection of Mossberg rim fires.

Just before WW2 my Father bought this Mossberg 45AS which had the Spiegel plate on the pistol grip
but removed long ago, rifle is in excellent condition. Some told me only 137 of the 45AS were produced ?325223252332524

That's a nice collection. I'm not certain, but I believe that the 152's, being semi auto with a detachable magazine and fold down fore stock, may qualify as an "assault weapon" under NY''s SAFE Act. There's a lot of those out there and I'd bet that most owners in NYS haven't even considered that to be a possibility.

Official Moss. production records got thrown away during a move, some years back. However there was a supervisor who kept his own records before the war. They may or may not be 100% accurate. So yes, there were 137 (1938) made but they were 'Specials' which were sold by Spiegel only, sort of sale trails. They must have sold quick as the same year they came out with a 45S, same rifle but official Spiegel model. 805 made (1938). That is what I have. They should have the #3 peep sight, which are worth almost as much as the rifle!

About what are the Model 45AS rifles worth, mine has the Mossberg scope too ?

They sell so seldom I really cannot say. I would pay up to 400 for a rifle like yours, but others may give more (my budget is limited). Like all Spiegel rifles yours is D&T for scope blocks. While Moss offered this as an option (sent a kit containing drill, tap, blocks, instructions) Spiegel required it be factory done on their guns. You have a real treasure there, one most collectors would love to have, Spiegel's are considered top of the line!
Wards and Sears usually deleted standard items to get the price down.

WOW. Looks like a museum. All I have is a single 144LSA. I've never shot it but have shot other Mossberg 22's. They are accurate and under rated. The only thing I don't like about mine is that it has the plastic "safety" and "fire" buttons that tend to slide out, get lost and cost $10 ea to replace.

A 'lil glue goes a long way. And if they are tight when put in place your stock must be expanding and shrinking from humidity.
