Not being collectors, advice/things to look for? Only knowns so far: it has a flip rear sight and 3,230xxx serial number.

It may be an IR marked receiver but it was made by Saginaw Gear S'G'. About late summer 1943 for it's production. Pictures of it and the stock would help. What is stamped in the sling well?
