Can anyone help Identify this belt? I have a "theroy" but not quite sure. I don't want to devulge my thoughts yet as to not influence opinions. But, any input, or if others have seen one like this, I would like to hear your thoughts.

What's the material of the connectors? Looks like steel or pot metal in the picture.

From the advent to early WW2 those were brass. Steel during WW2. Then brass a bit again after. Style is 1910s on those connectors. That varied though.
Keepers were flat from inception to about 1960. Those are the early 1960s style.

If I had to take a guess I'd say it's a firefighter belt. I have a belt similar in design but having a leather additional piece where that one has the additional canvas strap with buckles.

So it's a guess only. Early 1960s firefighter belt. I'd love to know also for the one I have.

All the hardware is brass. Your seeing the "patina" which gives it that dull color you see. Here are some close ups of the hardware. The rivets are not brass. Those seem to be steel. They aren't aluminum, but steel I "think". I will go ahead and disclose what my thoughts on it. I actually don't think it is military at all. I might be wrong, but I am thinking it is an early 1900's mining belt. I am thinking the straps are for holding mining lamp batteries? At first I was thinking some sort of utility belt from WWI. I think it is from that era, but not military.
