I have an opportunity to buy a WW2 98k mauser 22 cal conversion kit. I have notseen it yet so unsure of any manufacture codes, etc., but told it is complete and in excellent shape. I don't know if box/package (wooden box?) included or available. Any idea of fair price? Thanks (hounddog3198@gmail.com)

if it's all there & in decent shape, I'd drop several hundred on her & not sweat it a bit......... it has been years since I've seen one for sale though......... How much does he want? Do you have to tell your lady about the purchase? That's a big thing at my house.............

Older gent - 90 yrs old - selling a mix of stuff including 3 m-1's, an argentine msuser (little or no value ?), a chromed p08 (described as a bringback, but never heard of chromed lugers) and some shotguns. Will get a chance to see on Sunday. Guy wants one buyer for all

I seem to recall them selling for $5-600 in complete / mint condition a decade ago . Have not seen one in ages . The same type of thing , the Numrich 1903 conversion kit , was selling for $1,000 + about 5-6 years ago . Know that because I have two of those . Might also check on the H&K 91 conversion kit , it used to sell in the same range as the Mauser kit back then.
Chris

PS :
A quick check of recent sales show these pushing $1,000 + , too

I know someone who just bought a boxed .22 k98 conversion kit. It was 100% complete. He paid $1800 for it. He might have paid a little much. But as he said, where you going to find another one?
