Beryl archer rifle experience?

Does anyone have any experience with a polish archer rifle? I know it's not a soviet rifle, but it is based on one... My wife and I are looking at getting an ak, and this 5.56 variant seems like a good deal.

Why an AK in 5.56? You can get a decent AR 15 for around $500 and the magazines are a LOT less expensive. Plus the AR 15 rifles are generally more accurate then the AK platform.

Variety, simply. My wife wants an ak, and I'd like another 5.56. Seems like a compromise to me. The archer is piston driven, and on the reliable Kalashnikov pattern, but shoots readily available 5.56 ammo. I'm not knocking the AR, we just have two of them.

good logic by tuna that I agree with............. but your logic of "heck I just want one" trumps our arguments all to heck......... let us know how she handles guy.

I most certainly will. The competition is between it, an ak-47 and an ak-74. Time will tell what I end up with.
