Gents,

I received an ad from AIM Surplus offering Privi FMJ ammo designated for the M1 at around $145.00 plus shipping for 200 rounds. Do any of you have experience using Privi in your Garands? If it is not suitable as advertised in a Garand I'll just use it in my 1917 and 03's.

TIA, VG

Thanks! I've shot a lot of Privi in other calibers and agree it's good stuff. My only concern was the suitability, pressure wise, in the Garand.

I have not noticed any pressure problems with it. The rifle still functions the same, no feed problems, stuck cases or extraction problems. Doesn't seem dirtier or cleaner then the American Eagle that I have shot. Love the price.

I have reloaded many Privi bullets for my M1 but I haven't had any store bought ammo in many years.
