48-A BO Yugo Mauser

I picked up the 48-A BO Yugo Mauser today the stock and handguard is painted black before I strip it off I wanted to know if anyone has seen this before. I have had quite a few Yugo Mausers and have never saw one painted black.

If you are asking 'is it original', the answer is no. Did some military do it for some reason? I don't think so. I have never seen that either.

That's what I thought started the stripping process today ran out of stripper though will have to wait until next week to finish.

M48 BOs are pretty rare birds, even more so it they are BO (unmarked) versions of the M48 A. Congratulations on you find.

That's why finding info on them is not easy haven't found much online about them.
