Wow, now going for well over $500 at many locations (not just Midway). I am going to have to put mine in the gun safe at that price! Not all that long ago I got mine for $350.

Many years ago, I bought a kit of a Thompson Center Hawken rifle. Paid alot less than $100. Took alot of work to assemble. Every piece had to be finished and barrel blued. Took forever to 'file' the barrel flats (ocagonal barrel), smooth out brass fittngs and polish them, finish the rough stock. Took most of one Winter.

I have a Browning 50 and a Browning 54, both sold for around 700 dollars back in the day.
