I have been searching for loading data using Hodgdon Pyrodex RS in the 45-70 original trapdoors. Hodgdon's website does not give load data. I would use this powder under a 405 and 500gr. lead bullet. What would be a good starting load for each bullet? I normally use ffg black powder, but would like to have an alternate powder. I know not to leave air space between powdr and bullet and would use either bullet compressed loads or a filler.
Thank you

No air space and no filler, that bout says it.

Pyrodex is loaded with a 'volume' eqivalent of black powder, all substitutes are as far as I know.
