I've used my Auto Charge for over a year now and I really only have one serious beef.... that obnoxious, loud, piercing BEEP that happens after each charge is complete (and for other functions).

If you are near deaf then you will probably love it because it will raise the dead. However if you have any hearing left at all, this thing will drive you crazy.

While gritting my teeth and reloading in the garage last night, my wife opened the door and asked what in the world was the beeping, I finally decided to do something. I thought some other folks might like to benefit from my explorations into the depths of the Auto Charge.

Essentially the entire bottom of the device can be separated from the top half. Start by removing the 4 rubberized feet. They are held in place with tacky adhesive and can be removed intact. You will need a small diameter shaft Philips screwdriver. The screws will be accessible when the feet are off.

There are 6 identical screws. Two are already exposed.

Gently pull the bottom away from the top half of the machine. You don't need to disconnect any of the cables inside that connect the screens and motor. At the front corner of the mother board you will see a cylindrical component as shown in the picture. A small piece of tape over the hole in the top will cut the volume in half. Reassemble in reverse order.

A little wood plug tamped into the hole may silence it altogether?
