It is NOT a Winchester.
It appears to be a VietNam era Ithaca commercial handguard.
It also could *possibly* be a parked Stevens guard, I just can not tell from the photos as they are similar.
For sure NOT a Winchester. I don't know what you paid, but IMHO no more than $200 there since a real original would have a blued finish. The VN Ithaca guards are not that valuable, since they don't really go on any guns.

I would not worry about returning it at that price.
But it does not belong on a Winchester.
