manufacture date?

I have a Win. M-63, serial 77004A. Anyone have a list showing the year? Anyone know what the barrel length on the carbine model was? Thanks.

Was all ready to go look at the 450 buck 9422 to-day. Guy calls says he can't find it! Son may have taken it home with him, he never mentioned calling his son to see if he did. I think he went out on the internet and is backing out!

Serial number 77004 is 1948. The A might indicate two rifles stamped with the same serial number

Allot of Win models have A after the serials. I think they mean some change. Like the M-52's A,B, C, etc. I have 2 M-54's with A's after, the A always seem to show up in later model years. Had a M-62 with an A also. Thanks for the date.
