A high percentage of the SRS hits are years after the rifle was first issued.

NathanHale,

There are two things to note about the preceding SRS listing.

(1) All the listings are post-WWI and are not the original 1918 WWI issuance pertaining to any of the rifles.

(2) With two exceptions, all the preceding rifles are reported as being in Army inventory at various locations. You may, therefore, reasonably assume that your rifle was originally issued in 1918 to a stateside Army base or Army unit headed for France.

Hope this helps.

After the U.S. entered WWI mot of the Model 1911 pistols were shipped to the ordnance department, Bush Terminal, Brooklyn, New York or Greenville Piers, Jersey City, New Jersey, for shipment directly to France.
