Has anyone seen any 30 06 API rounds for sale lately? I was looking for USGI, not some commercial knockoffs. What price have anyone seen them for in the past?

I've got two spam cans of it, but not for sale at this time. I've heard prices of a dollar a round.

if and when it is found.. NICE sealed display boxes sell for $150+ a box..but the last two cans I opened only had 10 of those.. the rest I sold for $3.00 a round by the box of 20 and they all lasted about 4 hours total

Cal .30 API M14A1, and FN API is available from several sources. It has always been available. The recent frenzy is not typical. I can think of at least 5 sources. How much you pay depends on how gullible you are.

Now comes the problem. JUST WHERE can you shoot the stuff without causing a fire??? Certainly NOT in Arizona or California, or for that matter in any of the other western states

I shoot this type of stuff all the time around here . It has to be REALLY dry for it to set fire to the rocks and dirt . We did have a really wet year here a lustrum or two ago , desert greened up real good . One 250 rd belt of '06 tracer fired into the night started 17 seperate fires . Most died out in a few min. , but some lasted a half hour or so. Still , it is the range record .
