Gents,

I have a leather holster for a M1911 that I purchased at an Army/Navy store in Philadelphia, PA, probably 40 years ago. It is marked T.M.U. on back under the belt hanger, appears to have faint S above the T. If there are additional letters after the S I can't see them. Steel pin to hold the flap closed. Any in appreciated. Thanks. Geoff

Pretty sure that is going to be a S. & R. manufactured holster, with the T.M.U. being the inspectors initials. That would put it WWI vintage.

No. Sears is like WalMart. They don't make anything and everything they sell is made by someone else. It was Sears, Roebuck & Company, not Sears & Roebuck.

No. Sears is like WalMart. They don't make anything and everything they sell is made by someone else. It was Sears, Roebuck & Company, not Sears & Roebuck.

USGI M1916 holsters marked "S & R" were manufactured during WW1 by the Scheffer & Rossum Company of St. Paul, Minnesota.
