My new American Tactical Government pistol runs great espessially with handloads. Non adjustable sight are right on at 30 feet. Love this pistol!

Have you tried various types of ammo. How does it feed hollow point. Inquiring minds want to know. That's me.

Remington 230 grain JHP feed real good, but, the accuracy is not as good. OK for defense tho.

I have added a bushing recoil compensator to it. Not that the recoil was that bad, just looks cool. Do these compensators really work?

They do a good job of increasing your draw time and decreasing your night vision.

I like to hold the pistol sideways like the dudes in the 'hood do, myself. Damned if I can see a reason for it but it looks cool.

Need to practice instinct shooting.
At self defense ranges every instant counts.
Sights and lasers can cost you that critical moment.
Bells and whistles add to the delay.

I agree with Michaelp. Any add-ons slows reaction time. Adjustable sights are only good for target shooting. At self defense range you only need a good holster and lots of practice.

I tried one on one of my 1911's. It did make a slight difference in recoil but point of impact changed upward. I don't know why?????

Because you compensate by pushing down, right?
