Actually, I believe that is the earlier Remington police version. It originally had a bead front sight that is either missing or broken, and it has the provision for the installation of a heat shield which was not a part of the Mk1 assembly.

I have one attached to an 870 and couldn't get close to that price on an auction. I guess I'm going to have to break it down and sell my adapter on eBay too! People seem to pay some high prices on there.

I would not sell mine for that. I had it built for me when I was on active duty and I used it then also. Few can say that.
