I would almost think that was one half of a pair for Lewis gun magazines. T%he bottom straqo going around the waist to connect to the other pouch

It's not a Lewis Gun pouch,too big,not rounded enough-

Frankly, looking at the stitching I'd almost bet someone made that up out of a mish mash of things.

It's made by Waring and Gillow Ltd. upholstery dept in 1941 obviously. They made a Lot of specialized Kitbags for the War Department during WWII. Offhand would say this belongs to to a Cavalry equipment set

I can't swear to it, but I'd put my money on a saddle bag. Very little British Cavalry stuff floating around for reference. 3yrs in England and all I could find were two cinch straps for the saddle.

It seems all wrong to be carried by a man. But is similar to Japanese and some other countries saddle bags in a few ways. If you confirm it's Cavalry and you don't want it, qoute me a price and we'll talk.

No, it says C HORSE.....must be Navy, get it, C- Horse...SEAHORSE....LOL

Good call though as I didn't notice CHORSE Mk1 which could be carrier, carry all, canvas.....Horse, Mk1

Doesn't look like any pack I ever saw.
I'm inclined to think it's for a chore horse generator that charges wireless batteries.
