This is a little bit off the subject but I want to know if any of you have had any experience installing a Hogue stock on a Mauser barreled action. I intend to purchase a Hogue full BB stock for my Mauser 98 long action. Here's the question. The barrel is a Parker Hale .308 sniper barrel used by the British. It is threaded for the Mauser, no problem there but it is barely tapered. It measures around .9" at the muzzel. The Hogue stocks are made for sporter barrels. Do any of you know if the Hogues barrel channels can be sanded to fit the target type barrel and if so can it be sanded this much?
Thanks !

I have a hogue on one of my '98s and the barrel channel is 3/4" . I have not had occasion to enlarge one yet.
