I thought this would fit my 1895 Winchester Lee Navy rifle, but was mistaken. Blade length is 8 1/4". The muzzle ring fits, and the catch fits, but the distance from the tang to the muzzle ring is too long by about 1/4". The ring is 14mm, the length from tang to ring is 24mm (This is too long), total length of guard from tang to top above ring is 40mm. Any ideas on what it may fit ?? Was it possibly modified in some way ?...cannot see anything that would indicate any cutting. No markings whatsoever.
Thanks for any help

Almost looks like a Mauser M93/M95/Spanish/Turkish/other Mauser bayonet.

Any markings at all?

I cannot remember ever seeing a bayo with a guard quite like that one. The top and hole seem so narrow/small!

No markings at all. The guard is very similar to the photos I have seen for a Winchester Lee Navy, that is why I thought it would fit.
Thanks for the input
