I am trying to help a friend who wants a single shot 44 magnum rifle with at least a 26inch barrel. Is there such a thing

I've never heard of such a thing. The .44 Mag is a handgun cartridge loaded with slow burning handgun powder (or very fast burning rifle powder, depending on one's perspective). Either way the cartridge is designed to burn its powder in WAY less than 26" of barrel. Rifles chambered in .44 are usually carbines with 16" or 18" barrels. There's no ballistic reason to have a 26" barrel unless you're burning ultra-slow rifle powders like 7828 or something like that.

Thanks. I know what you say is true, now I just have to convince my friend.

Have you tried H&R firearms? NEF also makes ss rifles in pistol rounds.

Yep. I don't think anyone makes a 26 inch barrel as there seems to be no reason to do so.
