These will fit the MC 1 mount but they are 7/8" parkerizing looks original. Did the USMC ever field any other scope in that mount???

To my knowledge, only the Kollmorgan scope was used for the MC-1. This scope would use the T-4 rings.

Johnny, It may not be relevant but i was searching eBay yesterday and there is a guy in France who is reproducing the USMC style G&H mount and rings. The rings in the auction were 26mm. The "buy it now" was only about $250. - i almost jumped on it until I read it was a reproduction.

I have seen that ad . They are not that good of a reproduction in my opinion but they are cheap! It looks like the maker used a real usgi base and fitted his parts to it for comparison. The real USGI bases that have the FSN on them have rounded levers not the squared off shown in the pics.

This is a FAKE!!!!!!!! mount listed on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/M1C-Garand-USMC-Sniper-scope-Griffin-Howe-Mount-/120654440408?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c1790a7d8#ht_657wt_1141

The pics below are real USMC scope and mount with FSN and round levers.

I made an error in the original post the rings are marked T2 and are 7/8" I have heard that there were T1 =3/4"--- T3= 1" and T4 = 26MM anyone ever see these in Griffin and Howe catalog? I am curious what kind of Commercial bases they were used with. all I have seen have parkerized military type finish.
