A Vintage Rifle match will be held at Ft. Gordon on November 6. It is open to all rifles per CMP rules.

LOCATION: Fort Gordon, GA. Range 4

ELIGIBILITY: Open to all competitors eligible to fire in CMP sanctioned
matches.

RULES: Unless modified by this program, current NRA and CMP Rules will
apply. Competitors will score, work the target pits, and assist the Range
and Pit officers as required. Use of the plug type scoring gauge is
restricted to the pit officer ONLY.
VEHICLES ALLOWED FORWARD OF THE 1000 YARD LINE WITH SPECIAL PERMISSION ONLY.
COMPETITORS WILL BE EXPECTED TO MOVE THEIR EQUIPMENT TO THE 200 YARDLINE.

ENTRY FEE: $25.00 (Juniors $15 - See awards paragraph)

ENTRIES: Range Capacity is 40 shooters. Advance registration is
recommended. No acknowledgment unless requested. Entries will be refunded
if at least 48 hour notice of cancellation is given.

These matches are on a military installation and subject to cancellation
with little advance notice. If you do not enter in advance we cannot advise
you of schedule changes, however every effort will be made in these cases to
save someone a drive. Mail name, address, and telephone number and make
checks payable to Palmetto State Marksman's Association.
Rifles: As-Issued Military Rifles per CMP rule 6.3 and "Unlimited and
Special Military Rifles per CMP rule 6.4. Rifles per CMP rule 6.4 may be
fired but are not eligible for awards.

AMMUNITION: Competitors must provide their own ammunitions. Unsafe firearms or ammunition will be disallowed.

SQUADDING: ALL MATCHES WILL BE SQUADED AT THE REGISTRATION TABLE. Table opens at 7:30 AM. Advance entries honored until 7:45 am. Pits seal 15 minutes prior to firing time. No entries will be accepted after the pits are sealed.

CHALLENGE: No alibis or refires because of rifle or ammunition malfunctions
are allowed.

SCHEDULE: The John Garand Match, Course B, 50 shot match will be fired. The
complete course of fire will be completed as each relay comes to the firing
stage. All firing will be at 200 yards using the 200 yard SR target. The
course of fire will be as follows:

First: slow fire prone with a maximum of 5 sighting shots and 20 rounds for
record in a time limit of 25 minutes.

Second: Rapid fire prone from standing, 10 shots in 70 or 80 sec.

Third: Rapid fire sitting from standing, 10 shots in 60 or 70 sec.

Fourth: Slow fire standing, 10 rounds in 10 min.

AWARDS: Awards schedule will be based upon the number of shooters for a
category. NRA award points or trophy for match winner. Awards may not be
awarded if there are less than five shooters in a category. If there are
eight or more shooters in a class, a second place award will be given;
thirteen or more, a third place. To be eligible for awards, junior shooters
must pay the adult entry fee. If there are three or more full fee juniors,
seniors, or women, then category awards will be given.

GENERAL: No food service or water is available on the range. There will be
no lunch break. Competitors are not to advance beyond the 1000 YD line until the range has been officially open (Army's rule, not ours).
