Hello all,

Looking for info on this mauser it is 8mm. Had this as a kid for deer hunting and has been sitting in safe for 25 years and figured I would try and get info. Thanks in advance for any and all info. What would this be worth as well.

Pictures of any markings on the rifle would be helpful.

Looks to be some version of the Masuer 98, but could be anything. If it is a sporterized rifle done in the USA, there will be no proof marks, but if it was done in Europe, there should be information on the bottom of the barrel just ahead of the action. Looks a lot like a K98a sporter which I have, but cannot tell from the pictures.

It would be worth exactly what someone would be willing to pay for it.

Looks like a Kar.98a reciever with a Kar.98k bolt in it. A sporter put together with misc. parts. Worth is just what it is, a home made military/sporter, 200-300 bucks tops. Full length picture may reveal more.

It still has its handguard most rifles that are sporterised the handguard is removed. Is the receiver ring marked? Has the stock been cut? Pictures of the whole rifle would be helpful.
